Valefest 2024
ValeFest 2024 pulsated with undeniable energy – a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds woven from the rhythmic pulse of basslines, the enthusiastic waves of the crowd, and the captivating performances that unfolded on stage.
Yet, before the first triumphant chord echoed through the air, a dedicated team at the University of Birmingham's Guild of Students laboured tirelessly behind the scenes to translate their vision into reality. Set on the ground of the Vale Village - One of the University's highly furnished student accommodations. The event brought The Overpass, The Deep Blue, Eighty Eighty Miles, Ocean, Red Zest, Fatmassiv, Counting Ghosts and many other artists and bands to the lineup.
As a member of the marketing and communications team, I was not only fortunate enough to witness the culmination of these efforts firsthand, but also designated with the privilege of documenting and sharing the festival's vibrant narrative. This project presented a unique opportunity to delve into the intricate fabric of university summer events, offering a glimpse into the meticulous planning, the strategic marketing efforts, and the sheer, unbridled energy that converges to create an unforgettable festival experience.
